We held our first Christmas Party on December 24th at Tsukiminosato.

We enjoyed Christmas Eve together with a big Christmas tree and a nice sweet smell!

🎄 Decorating the Christmas Tree

We decorated a big Christmas tree (taller than a parent’s height) together. Kids put on ornaments with their parents’ help using the English words “up” and “down” for their parents to lift them. We got a warm happy Christmas feeling by seeing kids request “up” and parents carrying their kids with big smiles. ♥ The star on the tree top has the kids’ names on it. Muna’s original Christmas tree was completed.

🎄 Christmas Song Lesson

Kids challenged to sing “Jingle Bells” in English. After they practiced some English words, we sang a sing-along music video. In the beginning, the kids were singing with small voices. But as the music went on their voices got louder.

🎄 Making Sweet Houses and Decorating Gingerbread Men

For the main event we made sweet houses. We connected crackers and wafers while counting numbers in English to make the houses. After that we decorated the houses with colourful foreign candies. It was quite hard work but the kids did well and made cute houses. We also prepared gingerbread men which the kids also decorated and kept as souvenirs. We hope the kids enjoyed the taste of the Christmas season.

🎄 Christmas Presents From Santa

After the kids worked hard and enjoyed the lesson, Santa came to the party! The kids got presents and workbooks with personalized handwritten messages. ♪ The messages were all written in English. We hope the kids think, “I want to know the meaning of the message and learn English more.” We want to encourage them as opposed to making them feel forced to study English. ☆

The party finished as kids collected candy canes from the Christmas tree as they left the classroom.

It was quite a tight schedule and without the parents’ help, we couldn’t have finished the lesson. Thank you very much for the big help!

We had a wonderful memorable Christmas Eve by enjoying the time together with everyone.

🎄 Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! 🎄
