Muna English Circle

We held our very first Muna English Circle at Tsukiminosato. We had special guests who suited well for the first time lesson. Everyone was really addicted to the activities and had an enjoyable time!

Card Game: Go Fish

At first, we practiced English words used for the card game. We practiced saying numbers, suits, and the key sentence for the game. Then we split into 2 groups and played “Go Fish”. Everyone was really into the game!

Magic: Eyes Behind My Back

Next, the kids got to become magicians! Nam performed a card trick for everybody. Then the kids learned the secret of the magic trick and performed it for their parents. Everyone worked really hard!

Special Guests

We had some special guests come for the lesson. Nam’s sister’s family from the U.S. (now living in Shanghai) came to visit! The kids got a really nice experience playing with foreign kids of similar age. One mother even told us that her son was inspired by Nam’s niece. Special thanks to Nam’s sister’s family!

Parent Discussion Time

While the kids were practicing magic with Nam, Kumiko discussed with the parents how to integrate the key sentence to daily life at home. One important thing about learning English, much like learning to ride a bicycle, is through repetition. Muna English is working on a curriculum which not only provides fun lessons to be used in the classroom but which can also be used at home continuously.
