Muna Kids English Circle
We held our second Muna Kids English Circle for Autumn 2018 on September 23rd. Even though it was the middle of a long weekend, there were many kids and we enjoyed our favourite game!
Guess Who? [Elementary Class]
In the elementary class, we introduced “Guess Who?” which is very popular for kids in Canada. In this game you guess who the other person is from many different characters. The kids were attracted to the game by the funny character pictures and the process to guess who the other person is. In this game you can train your English knowledge to fluent English since you apply easy English and use it again and again. You can buy this game online, so we hope kids play this game at home and gain fluent English!
Old Maid [Kindergarten Class]
In the kindergarten class, we played “Old Maid”. It is a simple game, but it is so fun with many friends! The kids’ happy faces when they made pairs made us enjoy it. Kids can practice the same sentence again and again in this game. Kids repeated English after parents in the beginning, but they were able to say the sentence by themselves as the game got close to the end. Fantastic☆
Snakes & Ladders [Kindergarten Class]
In the Kindergarten class, we also played ”Snakes and Ladders”. This time again it was a real human version for kids to move their bodies♪ The kids enjoyed the game while talking with their parents in English and moving their bodies. We were so impressed with how helpful the kids were to set up and clean up for the game! Thank you for your big help 🙂
Parent Discussion Time [Elementary Class]
Muna’s mission is to provide practical communicative English. On top of that we put effort to support kids in preparing them for the new school curriculum which prepares them for the IT society. Programming lessons will start soon in elementary school. We talked a little bit about it with the parents who don’t know what they can do to prepare for these programming lessons.
The first step for programming is to develop logical thinking skills. Logical thinking includes thinking about things in order. This ability can be developed by playing “Guess Who?”. In our circle kids can increase their ability of “English” and “Programming” which will be the key points for the upcoming Japanese education system, all while having fun! Please look forward to our next achievement!!
