Muna’s Philosophy
Teachers
Hello! My name is Nam and I’m an English teacher from 🇨🇦 Toronto, Canada. I know 5 languages including English and Japanese, so I know what it’s like to learn a new language. I graduated from the University of Toronto and I’m Cambridge CELTA certified.
I’ve lived in Japan for 10+ years where I’ve taught in an international preschool and as an ALT in elementary, junior, and senior high schools. I’ve also taught in English conversation schools, colleges, businesses, hospitals, and government offices. Back in Canada, I taught English to Japanese international students for 3 years.
I’m now a father and am running Muna English full-time.
Nice to meet you! I’m Kumiko. I’m from 🇯🇵 Fukuroi and I graduated from Iwata Minami High School. I majored in English at the Nagoya University of Foreign Studies and I also studied abroad at a University in 🇦🇺 Melbourne, Australia. Later I worked in childcare welfare. I learned about child development and supporting parents in raising kids.
I lived in 🇨🇦 Toronto, Canada for 1 year where I continued studying English and worked as a counsellor. After coming back to Japan, I managed and taught at an English conversation school for 2 years. Through my overseas experience, I’ve changed many things about myself such as my personality and my sense of value.
I’m now a mother and am challenging and enjoying raising a young child at home.
